Volkswagen made quite a stir at the Geneva Auto Show, especially with the new T-Cross Breeze. The first convertible SUV in the Polo class, the T-Cross concept offers a fresh look at some of VW’s latest designs.
According to VW, the T-Cross Breeze design is indicative of many new SUVs, including the VW lineup. The Tiguan, T-Roc, Tiguan XL, and the Touareg are made with young drivers in mind. The T-Cross has a modern soft-top, four seats, touch-sensitive services, BeatsAudio, and a highly efficient 1.0-liter TSI turbocharged engine.
“At the moment the T-Cross Breeze is purely a concept, but we can well imagine putting such a convertible on the market as a production model,” said Herbert Diess. “This is an affordable fun car that is also entirely suitable for everyday use—it’s a genuine ‘People’s Car’.”
The VW T-Cross Breeze design also has an intelligent seven-speed transmission, a top speed of 117 mph, and an astonishing estimated range of 497 miles. Combining futuristic styling, high-performance engineering, and great fuel economy, the T-Cross Breeze is the future of the industry.
